In these long weeks in which we had to stay at home because of this damn virus, I bet that many of you will have ventured to make cakes, pizzas and driven away, in the best traditions of the sicilian!
For those who were not accustomed to handling eggs, flour, yeast and butter was a nice way to learn how to knead the dough.
But those of us have a minimum of experience in the kitchen already know that the best trick to have a great dough is to have... the MIXING machine ORBITAL!!!!
And now I'll tell you about the one I have in my kitchen, the queen of the orbital: her majesty themixer SMEG!
In the market there are many mixers, orbital, all brands and all price points, but for my kitchen I decided to choose the one that is probably one of the best mixers today in the movement, unique design with beautiful retro lines that refer back to the fabulous '50s.
I chose to buy it in red color because it matches better to the majolica in the sicilian style of my kitchen, but it is available in several other colors, including some beautiful pastel shades.
Before you imagine of buying it I advise you to carefully consider where to place it in your kitchen, because it sure is not an appliance to be carried in a pocket, but has large (40,2 x 22.1 x 37.8 cm), and a significant weight (9.5 Kg), but seeing how bella is definitely not thinkable to keep it hidden behind some door!
Has a power consumption of 800 W and with 10 levels of speed can knead up to about 3 Kg of dough, for which you'll have no problem making cakes for a whole regiment...
It has an aluminum body and the stainless steel mesh basket, which is virtually indestructible and can be cleaned easily.
I recommend you to consider buying some useful accessories, including roll out the pastry and make a delicious fresh home-made pasta.
The mixer SMEG is definitely not the cheapest that you can find on the market, but it is undoubtedly the most beautiful! If you are lucky you can find it on Amazon , even less than 400€, especially on the occasion of special offers.
